HOW TO REACH KEDARNATH FROM DELHI?
One can’t directly reach Kedarnath as the road ends on Gaurikund. Thus, you need to travel to Gaurikhand then start your journey for Kedarnath either by horse, Kandi or Palki.

So, now let’s know what are the different options available to travel till Gaurikhand.
BY ROAD
One can easily find a direct bus service from Delhi to Kedarnath from Delhi’s ISBT Kashmere Gate. There is a daily bus between Delhi and Sonprayag (Kedarnath) which covers about 435 kms, leaves ISBT Kashmiri Gate at 9:00 p.m. and arrives in Rishikesh at 3:30 a.m. After a brief stop in Rishikesh, the bus will proceed for Sonprayag, arriving at 10:00 a.m. After you reach Sonprayag you need to travel to Gaurikhand by cab or the means available there and then complete a 16 kms Trek to Kedarnath either by horse, Kandi, Palki or by walking (if you have a good physical fitness!).
Alternatively, you can also travel by bus from Delhi (Kashmere Gate Bus terminal or Anand Vihar Bus Terminal) to Dehradun and then take a bus from Dehradun to Gaurikund. After reaching Gaurikhand enjoy your trek to Kedarnath. You may select between AC and non-AC sleepers, and Volvo buses.
If you are planning to travel by your own car or cab, you need to travel till Sonprayag or Gaurikhand and then get ready to do a trekking of 16 kms. The travel by road may take you 15-17 hours depending on the national highway you choose. But the best thing about travelling via road is that you will be able to see the breathtaking Himalayan ranges, and the holy rivers such as the Ganga and Mandakini running alongside the highway.

BY TRAIN
There is no direct train from Delhi to Kedarnath. But don’t worry! There are two options. You can either take a train from Delhi to Dehradun, Rishikesh, or Haridwar, and then take the bus or Cab off course to Kedarnath from there. From the above three stations, the nearest railway station is Rishikesh, which is around 227 kilometers from Kedarnath Temple. From the rail station, taxi and bus services can be availed.
BY FLIGHT
Take a flight from Delhi to Jolly Grant Airport (also known as Dehradun Airport). After reaching there you can either take a cab or take a bus to Kedarnath. Jolly Grant airport is approximately 239 kilometers from Kedarnath.
