The Himalayas have always been a go-to tourist spot for Indians to enjoy the cold, chilly weather and beauty of Mother nature. We all know of the famous tourist spots spanning over the Himalayas like Manali, Shimla, Hrishikesh, Sikkim, Kashmir, etc. but there are many other unexplored or less explored places that people are now getting to know about.
Auli is one such place. Auli is a hill station, a ski resort situated in the state of Uttarakhand with mesmerizing landscapes, beauty, and peace. The snow-covered mountains and the views will remind us of the Christmas movies that we all grew up watching.
What Is Auli Famous For?
Auli is famous for its beauty. When the Uttarakhand Government first listed Auli as a tourist spot to attract visitors, it was its beauty that captivated the eyes of the people. And thanks to word of mouth, it has become a must-visit hill station in our country.
Apart from its beauty, Auli is famous for the snow sports it offers, unlike other hill stations. It is famous for hiking and skiing, some of the snow sports that we Indians love to try but have very little access to. All those Hollywood movies made us want to ski even more, and now we do not have to plan for a foreign trip to enjoy skiing. We can do so well within the bounds of our country. The mountains of Auli are suitable for professional as well as novice skiers and do not pose any threat.
The place also holds a world record for having the most number of flower species blooming in springs than any other place in the world. Doesn’t this give us all the more reasons to visit the place but how to reach there?
